How is it formed?

The present perfect is formed with avere o essere in the present + past participle.

Formula: I have / you have / has / we / you have / have + participle or I'm / you're / it's / we're / you're / I'm + participle.

Avere
Molti verbi usano avere: ho mangiato, ho studiato, ho visto.

Essere
Movimento o cambiamento: sono andato, sono arrivato, sono nato.

With essere the ending changes
Marco è andato. Anna è andata.

Plural
Marco e Luca sono andati. Anna e Sara sono andate.

Wrong: io sono mangiato.Corretto: io ho mangiato.

Wrong: lei ha andato.Corretto: lei è andata.
